Vision

The Liechtensteinisches LandesMuseum opens up perspectives on spaces, times and everyday life.

Mission statement

We inspire and touch

Together, we bring the Liechtensteinisches LandesMuseum to life with commitment and expertise. The diversity of the exhibitions, activities and themes are unique and fascinate young and old alike.

We connect and discover

With our themes, we build bridges between the past, present and future and promote dialog and the development of identity with Liechtenstein.

We enrich and preserve

We are a place for cultural preservation, encounters and a center for knowledge transfer and education. We bring our museum to life through a participatory program of exhibitions and events and foster exchange with cultural institutions in Liechtenstein and abroad.

Sustainability mission statement of the Liechtenstein NationalMuseum

Climate change concerns us all. As a public museum, we bear responsibility for how we work, what impact we have and what images of the future we help to shape. Ecological sustainability is therefore a central field of action for us and a cross-sectional task in all areas of the museum.

Sustainability is a long-term process. We want to develop step by step and set ourselves realistic and achievable goals. In doing so, we are guided by the Liechtenstein 2050 climate strategy.

Our goals and guidelines

Reduce our CO₂ footprint

We are working systematically to reduce the environmental impact of our operations - particularly in the areas of energy consumption, building operation, mobility, procurement, exhibition production and waste management.

Conscious use of resources

We use materials, energy and infrastructure responsibly and give preference to solutions that are as durable, reusable and repairable as possible.

Anchoring sustainability in everyday museum life

We incorporate ecological considerations into our planning, decision-making and work processes and see them as a joint task.

Enabling learning and promoting participation

We raise our employees' awareness of ecological issues and create space for participation, exchange and further development.

External impact

We use exhibitions, educational formats and general museum communication to address ecological issues, encourage reflection and encourage visitors to act sustainably.

We regularly reflect on our measures and thus gradually develop our museum further - with the aim of making optimum use of our scope for action in order to make a concrete contribution to an ecologically responsible future.
